ASN Consulting Services was established in 2005, to assist organizations and businesses develop and enhance their products and services that will improve the lives of individuals and the community. With the aging baby boomers reaching their retirement years, the market needs to prepare for this powerful and mature consumer group. The changing demographics will provide new business opportunities and culture in which society must retool and strategize for tomorrow’s future.
With a commitment to this vision, Audrey Suga-Nakagawa, owner and principal, offers her knowledge and expertise in elder care and health care services. Born and raised in Honolulu, Audrey pursued her academic and professional interests in Washington D.C., Los Angeles, San Francisco and Japan. Earning a Bachelors of Science Degree in Public Affairs, Audrey received the highest academic honors and distinction as the Valedictorian from the University of Southern California’s School of Public Affairs. She has trained at the American Red Cross Headquarters in the nation’s capitol, interned at USC Andrus Gerontology Center, and the renowned On Lok Senior Health Services in California. After working in one of Los Angeles County’s busiest health care centers, Audrey relocated to northern California to obtain her Masters Degree in Public Health from University of California, Berkeley. Returning to Hawaii in 1990, she established Hawaii’s first Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) at Maluhia Long Term Care Health Center and developed a wide range of services and programs for seniors.
Audrey serves on numerous boards and committees in the community, and is a frequent lecturer on aging issues at the university, major businesses and community groups. Her professional affiliations include the Hawaii Pacific Gerontological Society, American Society on Aging, the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce, and Association of Fundraising Professionals (national and local chapter).
